Rory and the Men’s Shed

Rory recently invited us to the Kalamunda Men’s Shed to tour the facilities.  This is a very well equipped facility with separate sheds for metal work and woodwork, with dust extraction system and computer aided equipment.  The men’s shed’s motto is “A Place where blokes can meet, share stories, learn and do stuff”.

 

In Rory’s own words:

“I go to the men’s shed on a Tuesday. I am currently working on a jewellery box.  At school I used to do wood working class and enjoyed it, so I am happy that I can continue doing wood working with Heath, my support worker.  It was great to meet and talk to Greg and show him what I am doing at the men’s shed.”
