Individual Services

With Directions’ history steeped in family-first thinking, we focus on building connections and relationships. We put a lot of effort into matching our support workers with our individuals and believe it is important to spend the time to get it right.

We work one-on-one with our individuals, to forge connections that enable them to live as independently as possible. These supports are provided in a range of environments, including the home as well as the local community.

The Importance of Human Connection

We take the process of matching support workers with individuals very seriously. It is vitally important for our individuals to be able to build a lasting relationship with the person who will be alongside them as they strive towards their goals. Our bespoke referral process listens to our individuals to discover likes, dislikes and interests. We take the time to select a support worker that may be a good fit. If the match works, great! If not, we will work with the individual until we find the right support worker for them.

Our support workers have an amazing array of skills, talents and interests, and every day they collaborate with the individuals they support in devising innovative and motivating strategies to reach their goals, always having fun along the way.

Directions’ NDIS-funded support categories for Individual Services include:

01 – Assistance with Daily Life; 04 – Social and Community Participation; 09 – Increased Social and Community Participation.
