Breaking news for Directions participants
The WA State Government has announced today that we will move into a hard lock down for the Perth metro, Peel and South West areas:
https://www.wa.gov.au/government/announcements/perth-metro-peel-and-south-west-enter-hard-lockdown
This is effective from 6pm tonight, Sunday, 31 January 2021 until 6pm Friday, 5 February.
In order to address the Government recommendations, the following actions have or will be implemented:
- Directions will not be providing ‘face to face services’ from 6pm on 31/1/2021 to 6pm on 5/2/2021;
- Directions will be working with individuals who may have urgent and/or essential needs to ascertain how we can best provide support in other ways;
- For those scheduled to receive therapy this week, the therapy team will be contacting you to arrange a tele-therapy appointment or other alternative;
- All ‘office staff’ will be working from home in the next five days, with the exception of essential business functions;
- All staff are required to wear face masks outside of their home;
- Directions will provide regular communication updates as the week progresses.
Sources of assistance:
- Directions staff can be reached via 9262 4900 on Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm
- Directions staff can be reached directly by their work mobile if you have this number
- Directions on-call phone is staffed outside of office hours – 0449 624 900

Direction would like to acknowledge that these sudden changes may be challenging for some. We would like to reassure you that Directions are still here to support you and will assist you in different ways this week. This may be via a phone call, a teletherapy appointment or other ways. Directions are highly focussed on providing the safest of care and navigating the next 5 days thoughtfully.
We will continue to monitor the situation as it unfolds. We apologise for any inconvenience but encourage you to remain safe during this time.
Thank you for your attention to this important development.
