Directions turned 25 in 2019!
Our 25th anniversary was a significant milestone in our organization’s history and one worth celebrating. We did so through photography!
The big event was the photo exhibition on display at our 2019 AGM, which took 3 months to come together, embracing portraits of many of the people we support, celebrating the people that make Directions great.
In the words of our CEO, Alison Kelly, at the AGM and Photo Exhibition in October “much has changed in the past 25 years, but one thing has remained constant and that is the unique, wonderful and diverse people who embody the purpose and meaning of Directions. We enable and empower people to strive for their dreams and passions. We build relationships that make a difference.”
Directions success has always been due to “each and every individual and their families who trust us, our hardworking staff members whose commitment and passion to supporting individuals and families is second to none, our patron, Dr Tony Buti, for his calm and steady presence that role models the principles of social justice and integrity, our diligent volunteer Board, who devote hours of unseen time and attention to ensure Directions functions well and safely and our reliable volunteers, without whom, none of this would be possible.”
As the story of our organization continues, we honour our beginnings and the people who have made this organization what it is today. We are proud of the progress we have made together. Here’s to making an even bigger difference and keep building relations over the next 25 years!
